We Survived

Well we have survived our first week of being back to the real world. I'm back at work, Avaree is in school, and Jace is in daycare. Avaree is doing great in Kindergarten, she loves it! She says "Kindergarten rocks!" I hope she continues to feel that way.
It's good to be back at work, although I'd much rather be at home with my baby boy. It is so hard to drop him off every morning. I don't like it at all, it has gotten a little easier, but it's still really hard. The first day was the worst, I didn't think I'd ever stop crying! What's so hard for me is that I only really get to see him for about an hour and a half every day, which is in the evenings. He usually falls asleep on the way home and sleeps for a little bit. Then he wakes up and is ready for a bath and bottle. Then it's bedtime. He usually go to bed around 7:30-8:00.  I don't want to keep him up later to spend time with him because he sleeps all night long and I still have to wake him in the mornings!

Jace seems to be doing okay at daycare, all his teachers keep saying what a good baby he is and how sweet he is. He makes me proud! The only problem really is that he's not taking good naps. At home, he'll have at least a 2 hour nap in the morning and about a 3 hour nap in the afternoon, along with a few short catnaps in between. At daycare though, he only has about four 30 minute naps, so he's a sleepy baby when I pick him up and he gets a little ill in the evenings.

Jace worn out after his first day of daycare
Maybe one day I'll be able to stay home, or at least work part time so I can have more time with my kiddos.
Excited to see his sister after being away from her all day!
Avaree goes to daycare when she gets out of school. Some days, they will let her go to Jace's class so she can see him for a little while. One day though, she and her friend Paige snuck down the hall to Jace's room. They both got in trouble, but the poor girl just wanted to see her baby brother!
