Single Digits

9 days (probably less) to go! That is so hard to believe! Everything is going great, I've had a little cramping but not enough to do anything. At my weekly appointment on Thursday, I was still 2 cm dilated. I was hoping to have made more progress. I was also hoping that the full moon that night would do something...so much for that! We even ate Mexican food and went for a long walk and I'm still here waiting on my Little Man. I can't wait to see what he looks like...well, we have some sort of idea what he looks like from our 4D ultrasound, but I'm excited to see what color hair he has and what his skin tone will be. For some reason, I'm picturing a blond curly haired blue eyed boy! We'll find out soon!

37 weeks 3 days Appointment

Today was another weekly appointment with my Midwife. I am a "good 2" cm dilated and 60-70% effaced. Not as much progress as I was hoping but that's still good. I was also down 3 pounds (don't know how!) so now I'm 1 pound over my beginning weight! I have another appointment next Thursday, May 27, at 11am.

I went to check on Avaree a little while ago and I found her like this. She fell asleep reading before 9:00! I took these pictures mainly so I could show her what she looks like because the other night she asked me how I get her books from her when she's asleep without waking her up.Doesn't she look so sweet when she's sleeping?

Big Sister/Little Brother Shirts

I found some shirts for Avaree and Jace on Etsy that I loved but couldn't see paying $28 each for them. So I decided to try to make them, with some help from Mom! They turned out great and I can't wait for them to wear them.We also got these Carter's outfits for them!

37 Weeks = Full Term

We've made it! We're officially full term, so Jace, you can come whenever you're ready! Please don't make us wait too long! Will we have a May Baby or a June Baby?!?

We had a good weekend making last minute preparations for Jace's arrival. His car seat base is installed in the car. All his clothes are washed and put away. His room is complete and his bassinet is in our room. Batteries are in his swing and seat. Our bags are [almost] packed and ready to go!

We have a nephew!

William "Matthew" is here! He was born April 26 at 2:09 pm. He was 7 lb 2 oz and 21" long. Congratulations Stephanie and Will! He's precious!

Getting Closer

Yesterday afternoon I had an appointment with my midwife at 36 weeks 3 days. I lost 1 pound (I really think they were wrong last week when they said I had gained 4) so now I am up 4 pounds! I am "almost 2" cm dilated and 50% effaced!! YAY! Hopefully I'll keep making progress, I feel like I am. We only have a little over 3 weeks left until our due date, but I'm thinking he may decide to come before then! I hope so anyways! Here's a couple of pictures from the beginning of the week--36 weeks.

Picture Day

Today was Avaree's picture day at school. I can't wait to see how they turned out. She said she did good and she took some in her cap and gown too (for VPK). This morning before we left for school, I took a picture of her. After I took it, she said "Mom, put that picture on the internet so everybody can see it." That was so funny to me. So did just that and took another picture of her with my iphone and uploaded it to Facebook.

Baby Shower at Work

Shrimp Fest Fun

This past weekend was Shrimp Fest. Thursday afternoon was the parade and I think this is always our favorite part of the whole weekend!Friday night, we went downtown for some yummy shrimp and fireworks! Avaree had a blast in the Kids Fun Zone. She played in a couple of bouncy houses with one of her friends and she did this bungee jumping thing. She wanted to do it last year but she didn't weigh enough. She loved it this year, except she was too scared to flip like the bigger kids were doing!
