Single Digits

9 days (probably less) to go! That is so hard to believe! Everything is going great, I've had a little cramping but not enough to do anything. At my weekly appointment on Thursday, I was still 2 cm dilated. I was hoping to have made more progress. I was also hoping that the full moon that night would do something...so much for that! We even ate Mexican food and went for a long walk and I'm still here waiting on my Little Man. I can't wait to see what he looks like...well, we have some sort of idea what he looks like from our 4D ultrasound, but I'm excited to see what color hair he has and what his skin tone will be. For some reason, I'm picturing a blond curly haired blue eyed boy! We'll find out soon!

37 weeks 3 days Appointment

Today was another weekly appointment with my Midwife. I am a "good 2" cm dilated and 60-70% effaced. Not as much progress as I was hoping but that's still good. I was also down 3 pounds (don't know how!) so now I'm 1 pound over my beginning weight! I have another appointment next Thursday, May 27, at 11am.

37 Weeks = Full Term

We've made it! We're officially full term, so Jace, you can come whenever you're ready! Please don't make us wait too long! Will we have a May Baby or a June Baby?!?

We had a good weekend making last minute preparations for Jace's arrival. His car seat base is installed in the car. All his clothes are washed and put away. His room is complete and his bassinet is in our room. Batteries are in his swing and seat. Our bags are [almost] packed and ready to go!

Getting Closer

Yesterday afternoon I had an appointment with my midwife at 36 weeks 3 days. I lost 1 pound (I really think they were wrong last week when they said I had gained 4) so now I am up 4 pounds! I am "almost 2" cm dilated and 50% effaced!! YAY! Hopefully I'll keep making progress, I feel like I am. We only have a little over 3 weeks left until our due date, but I'm thinking he may decide to come before then! I hope so anyways! Baby Shower at Work

Today my wonderful coworkers gave me a baby shower! They did a great job with everything, I loved it! I'm very grateful for everything they did for us! Here are some pictures from today! Thanks everyone!36 wks 1 day

Making some progress

I had my 35 week appointment today and everything went well. I gained another 4 pounds (I actually think it's 3, but the nurse wrote down 4...the scale was still moving) so now I'm up 5 pounds. That's still pretty good for 35 weeks! I had another routine test--the one for Group B Strep. I should get the results back next week. My midwife also checked my cervix. I haven't started thinning out yet, but I am 1 cm dilated, and she could also feel his head!! That was exciting for me because with Avaree, I never made it past 1/2 cm before I went in to be induced. She also said that many times with a second pregnancy, you start dilating before you start thinning out so I'm right on track! Hopefully I won't be stuck at 1 for the next few weeks!

I was planning on sharing some pictures of Jace's room this week but unfortunately our crib was recalled. We took it back and ordered a different one and it was shipped yesterday. So it should be here in a few days!

35/35

Today we have reached 35/35: 35 weeks pregnant and 35 days until our due date! WOOHOO! Hopefully the little man will decide to come a few days early. We can't wait to meet him!

Baby Shower

Last Saturday, my sister, Jennifer, and my Mom gave me a baby shower. They did a great job with everything and we had lots of fun with family and friends!

Jennifer made the cake and it was a big hit!We had all kinds of yummy food!We played games and opened presents.Coach diaper bag from Mom & Jeff! Love it!Thanks everyone!!!

34 weeks--6 to go!

I'll be holding my baby boy very soon! Everything is going great, Jace is just getting bigger and bigger. At my appointment last Thursday I had gained 4 pounds, putting me 1 pound over my starting weight. My ribs are still aching pretty much all the time. Jace is shifting around a good bit and sometimes his movements hurt! My next appointment is Thursday, May 6 at 35 weeks 3 days, then I will start going every week until he comes!

32 Weeks

The countdown is on! Only 8 weeks left! Not much longer now and we're all getting more and more excited! My appointment last week went well. I got my Rhogam shot since I'm RH- and it wasn't so bad. Avaree thought it was funny that Mama had to get a shot in her butt! (Well, hip really)

Pregnancy: 32 weeks 1 day
Weight Gain: At my appointment last week I had gained 2 pounds, so I'm now down 3 pounds from my starting weight.
Sleep: I toss and turn and can't get comfy AT ALL.

Feeling: Pretty good, feels like I have a bruised rib though. There's constant pain there, even if his little butt isn't resting there.
Movement: He's slowed down quite a bit. He shifts around a lot. I don't really feel many kicks and jabs anymore. He's still getting hiccups quite a bit.
Belly: Getting bigger. I think it's really grown in the past week or 2.
Next Appointment: April 22 at 33 weeks 3 days

Follow-up Ultrasound

Our follow-up was this morning to check on the location of my placenta. I am happy to say that it has moved up and is out of the way! NO previa!! It's been marginal/low-lying the past 2 ultrasounds so I'm really glad it's moved! So that means hopefully no c-section!

Little Jace now weighs 3 pounds 8 ounces, so he's right on track. His heart rate was 155 and he had the hiccups when we tried to listen to his heartbeat. He has hair and he's in the right position, head down and face down. What I've been feeling constantly in my ribs is his butt and a pair of heels! It hurts!

30 Weeks!

It's hard to believe this pregnancy is 75% done! Wow! 30 weeks down, 10 to go! My belly has really grown in the past week or 2. It should have though because Jace should be weighing over 3 pounds. We'll find out how big he really is in the morning at our ultrasound! Here's my belly today. Excuse the awful pic, we've been outside cleaning out the garage!Pregnancy: 30 weeks

Feeling: Good, my back's been hurting, and I think I have a foot stuck in my ribs!
Movement: He's slowed down in the past week or so but he still moves a lot, he's getting cramped in there! He's most active in the mornings right before I get up and at night, and he gets hiccups at least once a day.
Belly: Growing! Everyone keeps saying they can't believe I'm as far along as I am because my belly isn't that big. But it's definitely been getting bigger.
Next Appointment: Follow-up ultrasound tomorrow morning, March 30. Next regular appointment is Tuesday, April 6 at 31 wks 1 day

Our Little Man at 28 weeks 5 days

We got to see our little man today at our 3D/4D ultrasound. It was amazing and we can't wait to meet him! I can't believe how big he's gotten. He is so cute and has chubby cheeks! I'm thinking he looks like his Daddy. He had one of his feet up by his head at the beginning and then he covered his face with his hands. Gammy said he was being shy like his Mama We loved being able to get a little "sneak peak" at Jace!

Third Trimester!

We're 27 weeks now and we've made it to the third trimester! (And right now as I'm typing this, I'm watching Jace move around in my belly!) It won't be much longer now. I had an appointment yesterday. I saw a different midwife since mine is on maternity leave until the end of April. I've gained 2 pounds in the past 4 1/2 weeks, so now I'm down 5 pounds. We went over the ultrasound I had 3 weeks ago. My placenta is still not up where it needs to be for a safe delivery. It was between 6 and 8 mm away from my cervix and it needs to be at least 2 cm. So she said that as of right now, I have a 50-50 chance of having a c-section. My next appointment in 4 weeks will be with the OB, since she will be the one to perform the c-section if it comes down to that. The follow up ultrasound is in 3 weeks so we will know if it's moved up any whenever I see her. Part of me wants to go ahead and schedule a c-section and not take any chances of any complications with the placenta. (I've kinda freaked myself out by googling. Note to self: DON'T do that!) I guess we'll see what she says and go from there! Here's my belly at 27 weeks 1 day:

25 weeks

Today we're 25 weeks and 3 days along! It's hard to believe that in 14 weeks Jace will [hopefully] be here! It's flying by now! I had the 1 hour glucose tolerance test last week and I passed!! Thank goodness, that was a huge relief! We also had a follow up ultrasound last week at 24 weeks to see if my placenta is moving up. It was low at my 18 week ultrasound so she wanted to check again in 6 weeks. It has moved up some, so that's good, and she wants to check it again in 6 weeks! I'm loving all these extra pics of our little boy that we're getting! He weighed 1 lb 9 oz so in 6 weeks he's gained a pound. He even had chubby little cheeks already! We are having a 4D ultrasound on March 20 so we'll get a little sneak peak at what Jace will look like. I'm so excited about that! Sleep: not great, I can't get comfortable and my hips hurt!

Feeling: Pretty good, if the coughing and runny nose will go away. My hips and lower back have been hurting
Movement: Little man moves ALL the time! He's very active and I love it! We've been able to see him from the outside for a few weeks.
Belly: It's poking out a little bit. I've been trying to figure out how I can have a 13" 1.5 lb baby hiding in there! No stretch marks, although I got none with Avaree either.
Next Appointment: Monday, March 8 at 27 wks
