Sleeping Babies

Love them! They both look so sweet when they're sleeping.

8 Weeks

8 weeks now...so hard to believe! Jace is smiling a lot now and trying to talk! I love it! Although once I get the camera out, he gets camera shy and doesn't want to smile!

Jace had his first overnight trip this past weekend. The kids and I went to Albany on Thursday and came back on Sunday. James stayed home to work. Jace slept the whole 3 hours and 45 minutes it took to get there! He did great! We had a surprise 75th birthday party for Nanny. We all had a fun time with family we hardly ever get to see.

I got Jace his first Georgia cap this weekend!! Love it! It's still so big for him and it's a newborn size!

7 Weeks

My sweet boy is 7 weeks old. He's developing his own little personality. He is smiling a lot more now and is doing great at holding his head up. He rolled from tummy to back on July 19 and I caught it on video! I think it scared him. Here's the video, rolling over is at the end.

Swim Lessons

Avaree started swim lessons today. She has them for 2 weeks, Monday through Thursday for 30 minutes each day. There are 5 kids (age 3-5) in her class and there are 2 instructors. She did great. She was more confident than I thought she would be in the water and I was very proud of her! I can't wait to see how well she is swimming after 2 weeks!

Bowling

We took Avaree bowling for the first time today. She loves it on the wii and does better than both James and me, so we knew she'd have a blast! She didn't even care that she wasn't doing that great either! lol The only thing she complained about were here shoes...she said they looked like boy shoes! Jace was great, he slept most of the time.

Are we done?

Are we going to have anymore babies? I don't know how many times I've heard this question since I became pregnant with Jace. And until he was born, I wasn't sure if we would have anymore. But now, I definitely want one more. If I didn't have to work and could stay home with our babies, we would start trying again when Jace is about 6 months old. I wish we could! I would love to have another girl, but I believe little boys may be even sweeter than little girls, so I wouldn't mind having another boy either! Avaree told me a couple days ago that she doesn't care what our next baby is, maybe twins! Although when she sees cute little girl clothes and shoes in the store, she always asks if we can get this for our baby girl when we have her.

The night we brought Jace home from the hospital, she told him that he was going to be a big brother soon, when Mama got pregnant with their baby sister! I thought that was so funny, especially considering Jace was only 2 days old.

Bedtime

Avaree likes me to bring Jace into her room at night so she can cuddle and love on him for a few minutes before she goes to bed. I think she loves her baby brother!

6 Weeks

Jace is 6 weeks old today which means my maternity leave is halfway over. I would love to be able to be a stay at home mom...maybe one day! Jace is getting so big lately, I think he's going through a growth spurt!

He was finally able to take his first real bath (7/9/10) since his umbilical cord stump fell off. He loved it!
