Follow-up Ultrasound

Our follow-up was this morning to check on the location of my placenta. I am happy to say that it has moved up and is out of the way! NO previa!! It's been marginal/low-lying the past 2 ultrasounds so I'm really glad it's moved! So that means hopefully no c-section!

Little Jace now weighs 3 pounds 8 ounces, so he's right on track. His heart rate was 155 and he had the hiccups when we tried to listen to his heartbeat. He has hair and he's in the right position, head down and face down. What I've been feeling constantly in my ribs is his butt and a pair of heels! It hurts!

Our Little Man at 28 weeks 5 days

We got to see our little man today at our 3D/4D ultrasound. It was amazing and we can't wait to meet him! I can't believe how big he's gotten. He is so cute and has chubby cheeks! I'm thinking he looks like his Daddy. He had one of his feet up by his head at the beginning and then he covered his face with his hands. Gammy said he was being shy like his Mama We loved being able to get a little "sneak peak" at Jace!

25 weeks

Today we're 25 weeks and 3 days along! It's hard to believe that in 14 weeks Jace will [hopefully] be here! It's flying by now! I had the 1 hour glucose tolerance test last week and I passed!! Thank goodness, that was a huge relief! We also had a follow up ultrasound last week at 24 weeks to see if my placenta is moving up. It was low at my 18 week ultrasound so she wanted to check again in 6 weeks. It has moved up some, so that's good, and she wants to check it again in 6 weeks! I'm loving all these extra pics of our little boy that we're getting! He weighed 1 lb 9 oz so in 6 weeks he's gained a pound. He even had chubby little cheeks already! We are having a 4D ultrasound on March 20 so we'll get a little sneak peak at what Jace will look like. I'm so excited about that! Here's a fun little survey I've seen on lots of other blogs and I figured I'd do it this time...
Pregnancy: 25 wks 3 days
Weight Gain: down 7 lbs
Sleep: not great, I can't get comfortable and my hips hurt!

Feeling: Pretty good, if the coughing and runny nose will go away. My hips and lower back have been hurting
Movement: Little man moves ALL the time! He's very active and I love it! We've been able to see him from the outside for a few weeks.
Belly: It's poking out a little bit. I've been trying to figure out how I can have a 13" 1.5 lb baby hiding in there! No stretch marks, although I got none with Avaree either.
Next Appointment: Monday, March 8 at 27 wks

It's a BOY!

As of yesterday, we are 19 weeks pregnant. I can't believe we're almost halfway there! I've been feeling pretty good. I was sick at first but that went away around 11-12 weeks. I had lost 10 pounds at my 14 week appointment, and now I've gained back 3. Last week we found out we're having a baby boy! We're all so excited. I just knew we were having a girl so I was shocked to find out he was a boy. We decided on a name before we even got pregnant: Jace William. Avaree has my middle name and Jace will have James'. Jace looked perfect at the ultrasound, he was about 9 ounces and he even measured 3 days ahead. We'll get to see him again in 5 weeks and I can't wait! Jace has been moving around quite a bit lately. I started feeling him around 12 weeks (sounds really early but they say it happens sooner with the 2nd pregnancy) but it's much more prominent and frequent now. James even felt him kick for the first time last Thursday at 18 weeks 3 days!!

It's sunk in now that we are having a boy but it is still really weird to look at boy things. All I've looked at for the past 5 years is girl's! I haven't had a problem with finding lots of cute things though, we've already bought several outfits, blankets, and other fun things! We picked out the bedding we would get if we had a boy before we got pregnant (lol) and we ordered it the night we found out. It came in this past weekend and I love it!
