Valentine's Day

We had a nice Valentine's Day today. Avaree took monkey tattoo cards to school for her class today and they had a little party. After dinner, we gave the kids their gifts for Valentine's Day.

Avaree got a new bicycle. She's outgrown her other one, but she still has to learn to ride without training wheels. We normally don't do big gifts like that for the smaller holidays, but I got an awesome deal on it and couldn't pass it up.

Jace got a Baby Sam doll. Yes, it's a baby doll, but it's a boy. He gets into Avaree's dolls, so I figure it's better for him to play with a boy doll than a girl doll. Plus, girls play with dolls to pretend being Mommy, so why can't boys pretend to be a Daddy? Baby Sam is super cute Jace loves to take his paci away.

Hopefully James and I will be going to dinner one night this week to celebrate Valentine's Day.

The Little Beaver

Since Jace is standing in his crib now, he's started biting and gnawing on it. I'll go in there and he'll be scraping it with his 2 bottom teeth and there will be little white specks on his chin from the paint. I guess I'm going to have to make some kind of crib rail protector before he really messes it up!

2nd 9 Weeks

Avaree got her report card for the second nine weeks a couple weeks ago. She did great! She got Satisfactory in Handwriting, Writing, and Music. She had Excellent in the other five categories. For the semester average, she got Excellent in everything but Writing and Handwriting. We're very proud of her and are encouraging her to take her time and write neatly. She also brought home certificates for Good Citizenship and Honor Roll.

Baby Curls

Jace's hair is getting long and is thickening up. I took these last night after his bath, he was sleepy and ready to go to bed. I love his little curls. While I was pregnant, I was hoping for a blue eyed boy with curly blonde hair and that's exactly what I've got.

Solar System

Avaree had her first science project to do today. She had to make a model of the solar system and she did great (with my help). She was very proud of her project! She also said she's been dying to go to Neptune. Not really sure why, but she wants to go!

Bike and Wagon Ride

We went for a walk today around the neighborhood. Avaree rode her bike and Jace rode in the wagon. He loved it!
